    Hello,

Is there a way to autosave the post content that a user tried to submit on the front end? Right ow if there is an error after submitting, the description area will be gone and it’s a bad experience for users.

Hi leonliang, normally the form does “remember” form values if/when there is an error and the form is returned. Is that not happening with your site?

    Hi Jeff.

The title and category will save. But the content a user writes does not save.

Is there any special settings to configure please?

    Thanks

Ah, if it’s only the content area that is not remembering the data, then most likely you are using the RTE/Visual Editor, correct? If so, that field is provided wholesale by WordPress, and AFAIK there is no way to implement remembering for that particular field. The regular plain-text Content field does remember, just not the RTE.

Yes Im using the rich editor.

    Pity but good to know.

    Thank you!

I know it sucks, and will continue to look for a way to provide remember support for the RTE field. Note that the form does include client-side validation, which should prevent the form from being submitted if any fields are incomplete, etc.
