Support » Fixing WordPress » Auto resize post images and cache thumbnail

  • I run my wife’s blog and she likes to have her readers have the ability to click through to see full sized images. However, this means her default post behavior is to upload the full sized image and then have it resized by the CSS. This looks fine but makes the home page load very slowly since there is a lot of excess resolution being loaded on a lot of images. Is there a plugin or setting to have wordpress pre-scale thumbnails of the appropriate size (determined at time of post) and serve only those smaller images but still have the hyperlink point to the full sized image?
