• Hey everyone

Im running a script on my site that loads youtube videos and imports them as posts,
however the plugin says it only loads the latest posts if there is someone on the site refreshing the plugin.

This would be all fine because when a person views the site it would update the latest videos and thats all they would see.
    BUT…
I have another plugin running that sends out a email to the subscribers whenever there is a new post.
And because the posts dont seem to load untill someone views the site then everyone will get mass emails when someone logs in. or if no one logs in for a few days, because they havnt gotten any emails saying theres new content, because no one has logged in to refresh the loader… its a big circle.

    Can someone help me?
    if it makes sense above?

    Thanks in Advance
    Thomas

  • I guess you can ‘fix’ this by visiting the page everytime you post new content or make a cronjob which just gets ( via wget ) the page everytime. But your host needs to support this.

The problem is im not posting content. its a fully automated system that posts every time a new video is uploaded to youtube

And how do you do cronjob’s?

You can only do it server-side ( Linux / Unix systems ) –
