    Hi,

I find “Auto-Optimize images on upload” not working. Recently an author upload several images, and these images are not optimized. I double check the “Auto-Optimize images on upload” option and find it is selected. And also “You have 100% space credit left” indicates my credit is enough.

    Thanks

    Hi @chcw

This is Ioanna from Imagify and I’ll gladly assist you here!

Images can be automatically optimized if you upload them directly to the Media Library. If you upload images another way they cannot be optimized automatically. Can you please clarify the way that these images were uploaded?

    Best regards,
    Ioanna

    Hi, @wp_media

Thank you for your information. I have contacted the author to see how he uploads images. By the way, is there a way to schedule a job to automatically find and optimize unoptimized images in a daily or weekly basis?

    Hi, @wp_media

The author uses the following interface to upload the image files:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/tjpusb0rhzwxmiz/2021-08-11_6-06-39.jpg?dl=0

Will these images being optimized automatically?

    Hi @chcw

    Thanks for the updates!

Unfortunately, there is no option at the moment to schedule optimization of unoptimized images.

According to the screenshot you send me it looks that your images are uploaded directly from your Media Library so they should be automatically optimized.

If you are still having issues can you try to follow this guide from our documentation, it might be helpful.

Let me know if you need further assistance. I’ll be happy to help.

    Best regards,
    Ioanna
