# Auto-generated password is incorrect

 * I’m not sure if this is still a problem with v2.8.5 or 2.8.6. Does anyone know
   if the issue explained [here](http://www.ghacks.net/2007/12/01/wordpress-incorrect-password/)
   is still existing in WP’s current versions?
 * It basically says that _incorrect passwords_ can be generated for some usernames
   with **upper-case letters**, or something along the lines of that. I’m on version
   2.8.5 if that’s any clue (?)
