# Auto Detect Not Working

 * I mainly used EFB for the pop-up lightbox effect for my YouTube and Vimeo links.
   Autodetect was working in the beginning but recently stopped working. While it
   works if I put the class “fancbox-youtube”, I’d prefer of course to have the
   convenience of autodetect.
 * I went into my settings and changed the Links to exclude none. I get the pop-
   up but then it’s just white and doesn’t show a preview of the video or any of
   the play buttons or any of that.
 * Can you help me troubleshoot on what may be wrong. An example is here: [http://www.cooksmarts.com/cs-blog/2013/08/greek-salad-with-herbs/](http://www.cooksmarts.com/cs-blog/2013/08/greek-salad-with-herbs/)
   There is a link in a grey box to “this video.” Ideally, it would pop open the
   lightbox.

 * Seems auto detect stopped working for me after updating to 3.6 today.
 * Should launch Vimeo in lightbox upon loading this page:

 * [@larstmoen](https://wordpress.org/support/users/larstmoen/), that’s probably
   the issue for me too. I tried deactivating all my plug-ins and it still wasn’t
   working so it probably is an issue w/ new WP version. Hpefully there’s a fix
   soon. I do not want to go back to all my old links to add the fancybox class.

 * Seems to be a WordPress problem, my website produces a 404 error, looking for
   jquery files. [http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/24994](http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/24994)

 * Or maybe:

 * …I’ll just wait for Ravan to have a look at it. 😉

 * Updating to the newly released WP 3.6.1 did not resolve this problem.
    (The jquery
   404 error is gone, however).

 * Yes, I hope he does soon! I just deactivated this plug in since it was screwing
   up all my videos at the moment. The ones that do have the lightbox effect just
   show a blank white box

 * [@jdang](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jdang/), I do not see any Easy FancyBox
   related scripts in your page source… Can you activate the plugin?
 * [@larstmoen](https://wordpress.org/support/users/larstmoen/) your theme script
   causes an UncaughtReference error related to an undefined variable ‘twitter_username’.
   Apparently the theme NEEDS a twitter username or else the script fails. And it
   is this failing that subsequently halts fancybox… You need to define a twitter
   username or fix the theme script ( which ever is easier 😉 )

 * Solved for me. A call to the standard WP twitter widget broke the script. Thanks!

   Thanks!

 * [@jdang](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jdang/) please go to Settings >
   Media and look in the Fancybox > Links section for the option “Exclude”. Set
   it to “None” instead of “Without thumbnail image”.

 * [@ravanh](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ravanh/), just did that (and I
   had it set to this before). There is a pop-up lightbox now but nothing shows
   in it – just a blank white box. Add’l thoughts?

 * [@jdang](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jdang/) – thanks for pointing that
   out: it’s a bug. Use the protocol http instead of https for now. Then next version
   will see this the bug fixed 🙂

 * [@ravanh](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ravanh/) Thx for the quick reply.
   And sorry, I’m not super technical . . . is that a setting I can set w/in WordPress?

 * Oh, sorry. That was not a clear answer from me… No, it’s the link address you
   are using: [https://vimeo.com/71293607](https://vimeo.com/71293607). Make it
   [http://vimeo.com/71293607](http://vimeo.com/71293607) without the s in the https
   🙂

 * [@ravanh](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ravanh/) Thx, that makes a lot
   more sense. I’m going to de-activate for now and wait till the next update. I
   have too many posts at the moment to switch it out.
 * Thx for a great plug-in and I look forward to the next udpate!
