    Hi all,

Currently working with a large directory with live listings.
The current process is that the business submits their listing with their info and then it needs to be approved to be published on the site. The client wants the listings to auto approve after the customer makes edits (if info changes, like a current sale etc). I set this up so that edited posts automatically publish, however, I noticed that if you are creating a listing, preview your listing before submitting and go back to make edits, it then publishes the listing when it shouldn’t.
I want the listings to be published/approved first, then after the approval, the listing owner can make edits.

    Solutions?

  • Hi @raesitka,

We’ve very recently discovered this implementation flaw and we’re already working on fixing this. Hopefully, we’ll be able to provide a fix for this soon.

Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it.

    Regards,
    Mahdi.

Is there an ETA on this being updated?

    Thank you!

Hi @raesitka, sorry for the delay in response.

A fix for this is planned to be released with the v7.1.1 of Directorist which is scheduled to be released at the end of the month. So if everything goes well, the fix will be available by the end of January.

    Regards,
    Mahdi.

Hey, just checking back in on this. Any word on v7.1.1? This fix would be massive for our site!

    Cheers!

    Hi @adamaco,

We’re working on it as we speak, it should be soon. Possibly within the next week.

    Regards,
    Mahdi.

Was happy to see that 7.1.1 was released today but I tested this out and when you are editing your initial submission, after reviewing the second time then submitting, the listing gets published.

    Hi @raesitka, sorry about that.

That particular issue turned out to be way more complicated than we initially thought it would be. As v7.1.1 was mostly focused on minor fixes and improvements, this one got pushed back for the next release, expected to be released within the end of this month.

Really sorry for the inconvenience caused by this.

    Regards,
    Mahdi.

    Hello everyone,

v7.1.2 Has also not resolved the issue. Any ETA on when this change will be applied? This feature working as intended is pretty imperative to how we would like our directory to function.

    Let me know!

    Thanks,
    Adam

Hi @adamaco, really sorry for the inconvenience.

That particular issue turned out to be way more complicated than we initially thought it would be. As v7.1.1 was mostly focused on minor fixes and improvements, this one got pushed back for the next release, which means v7.2.0. Hi all – has there been any update on this?

    Hey @raesitka,

I’m sorry. We decided to do some more work on the core level regarding this issue. There are few updates lined up for performance optimization, a rework for this mechanism should be available with one of those updates.

    Regards,
    Mahdi.

    Hello everyone,
