Hi,
Thanks for reaching out! Yes you can disable the admin approval for registered users. The feature is called “auto-publish” and you can enable it in the settings.
The email notification works as follows: If a user activates “notify by email” in the form he will be notified as soon as his location proposal has been approved.
From the admin perspective: You will see a notification icon in the WordPress Backend that indicates the number of currently pending locations. If you want to get notified by email when a new location proposal is incoming then you could use the plugin “Post Status Notifier Lite” to do this.
Best Regards,
Daniel
Hi,
thanks for your reply.
So I understand auto-publish is not possible for visitors ? And for registered users it is limited to “edit post” capabilities ? Is there a way to be more permissive ?
Thanks again for your help
The “edit posts”-capability is the lowest possible capability to ensure it is not bots that publish posts.
However, there are a couple of users that have asked for this feature. So I will try to find a way to make it possible. It could probably be an option with a security note attached to it or a captcha integration. Do you have ideas?
Best Regards,
Daniel
Well that would be great and a captcha would do I think.
To be more specific about our case, our user are paying subscribers of our online newspaper, and it is a quite good community, so moderate a posteriori is not a problem.
Okay, I’ll keep you posted on this.
Best Regards,
Daniel
