Authorsure and Theme My Login plugin (5 posts)

    Theme My Login (TML) does not grab AuthorSure's social media form fields from the User Profile page.

    How to fix it?

    TML uses the same actions and filters as WP.

    How to fix and show them for all users?

    I just seen, social media are for admins, authors, editors, contributors only and still no display in Theme My Login.

    I set up AuthorSure to apply extra contact methods for authors and above - not subscribers or contributors - and hence not for anyone that is not logged in

    There is a function authorsure::is_author() that checks the current user has 'edit_posts'.

    With TML I presume the user has not yet logged in and hence would not have 'edit_posts' capability

    TML grabs social media form fields of other Author Plugins.

    Authorsure, does not work even the user has Author or Admin privileges.

    I think something in "contactmethods" is messed up. (also remember my other thread about Skype?)

    You should look on it

    This is really an issue for TML and not AuthorSure - TML needs to come and get the custom contact fields; AuthorSure does not 'force' other plugins to use the other contact methods; in a sense, these extra contact methods are private to AuthorSure by design.

    If the fields are to be used outside AuthorSure then you would need to add the following line to functions.php

    add_filter('user_contactmethods', array(AUTHORSURE,'add_contactmethods'),10,1);

    This should make the methods visible to TML.
