Authors leaving 5 star reviews on their own plugins/themes ?

Noticed that a lot of plugins have a single 5star review from their authors, examples:

• https://wordpress.org/support/topic/good-plugin-for-testing-php-server-configuration/
• https://wordpress.org/support/topic/best-plugin-ever-123/

Is this permitted? It’s not mentioned in the guides nor faq: https://developer.wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-org/plugin-developer-faq/#what-is-sockpuppeting
