 * Hello – I am curious what the processes is, or if there is a process, for a transaction
to move from Authorized to Captured based on an order moving from Processing
   to Complete?
Ideally our process would be a temp hold until an order is completed.
Our shipping software will not pull in orders that are “On Hold” so wanting to
confirm the status that an order will be put in if we use Authorize vs Capture
and if there is an automated process to capture once an order moves to completed.
   Thank you!

 * Hi [@allthingsa2z](https://wordpress.org/support/users/allthingsa2z/),
 * When you use the “Authorize” option, it means that the funds are held on the
customer’s card but not yet charged. It’s only when you “Capture” the payment
that the funds are actually withdrawn from the customer’s account.
 * If you want an order to move from “Processing” to “Complete” automatically, you
can set the Transaction Type to “Capture” instead of “Authorize”. However, if
you want to hold the payment until the order is complete, you should choose “
   Authorize”.
 * There isn’t an automated process to capture a payment once an order moves to
completed. You would need to manually capture the payment in the WooCommerce
   order management screen.
 * Please note that the status of an order when you use “Authorize” will be “Processing”
and it will change to “Complete” when you manually “Capture” the payment.
 * Also, Square authorizations are only valid for 6 days, so they cannot be captured
   after this time.
