Author user level question

  • Is there a way that wordpress can allow more than 1 user a level of 10? I want more than one person to be able to edit the administrator’s posts.

  • Just add a new user, and then once added, use the option of changing the user level of the user to “Administrator”. That should work in the WP 2.0 admin, in the “Users” Menu under the “Author & Users” subtab.

Thanks! Is there any way to do it in wp 1.5?
Or can I change the username of the administrator?

Yes, in theory you could use phpMyAdmin to change the user_level field in the wp_users table to 10 but it is not really recommended. I can’t remember why it’s not recommended but last year when I was messing with two level 10 users, several things did really work right.
