Here is one method of doing it (works for me fine, anyway)
The author will need to have a Google+ page and ensure that under the “contributor to” section of their profile they include a link to their blog home page.
The URL of the Google+ page will follow this format:
https://plus.google.com/gplusnumberstringhere
Once that is done then insert this code somewhere in the body of any page which you want Google search to show author attribution.
… and if you want the author photo to appear next to the search results, ensure that the Google+ profile has a good quality (head and shoulders only) photo of the author as the main profile picture. Has to be a head and shoulders picture and definitely no company logos or branding…
The author picture should then appear in search results. Might take a wwek or so but more likely to be months than weeks is my understanding (though Google do not guarantee that the picture will be displayed)
Good luck!
Actually I might have misunderstood your question and sorry if so 🙂
hmmm that could work.
What I mean is getting something like http://www.blog.xyz.com/author/john-doe that will spit out all the posts from the author from the http://www.blog.xyz.com page
And even if I didn’t misunderstand your question, my first answer didn’t include the code (forgot to enclose it in back ticks) – hope this time it will show:

I’m not having a good day here!
The only answer I can provide, now that I;’ve got a better handle on what it is you need would be to create a page “Author name” then make that the parent page of all that author’s pages – then have maybe a sidebar link widget showing those child pages, if you follow my drift.
Though I’m sure that there would be much better ways of doing it….
Sorry I am of little help here.

I really appreciate your help. Thanks for these suggestions!
