Author throws in promotional notifications straight to WP dashboard

    After several years of happily using this plugin on all my sites now the author decides within one year to start adding tracking options and now since the latest update also throw a giant promotional notification onto all the WP dashboards.

    These are unacceptable practices. I’ve removed it from every website now. What a shame, I really liked the plugin but this is unacceptable.

    You can hide it in one click and you will never see it again!

    It’s just another open source plugin for help us to keep it advanced and updated. Think it like a donation button.

    BTW we removed freemius a long time ago…

    I would have been happy to donate and/or accept a promotional banner inside the plugin’s settings page, but to throw a giant banner right smack on top of the WP Dashboard is far too intrusive than most users and admins are comfortable with.
