 * Why does my author photo not show up on my posts, at bottom of page where it 
   says “About the Author”?
 * It seems this should be a pretty straightforward thing, but I have been trying
   to figure it out for months.

    sign up upload photo photo will now appear here and on gravatar
   enabled blogs be sure to enable gravatars in your wordpress admin

 * on the “settings – discussion” page there is nowhere to “enable gravatars”
 * when I mark the box next to “gravatar logo” it displays the gravatar logo… not
   my photo…

    save give it a few minutes for the service to recognize 
   your blog – it will show up

 * the gravatars can require patience….I’m not sure if its got to do with caching
   or what.
 * When I switched mine a while back….some sites that use gravatars kept my old 
   one up for weeks
