I’m working on this (terribly ugly) site: http://the-insurance-store-for-consumers.theportlandco.com/author/spencer-hill/
And that is the only author page that works.
Any other users I try to view throw a 404. Any ideas?
Can you link me to a post by either leland smith or heidi wells
Ah, that appears to be the issue. Only I have posts assigned to me. And unfortunately the new users won’t have posts associated with them either. Is there a workaround for this that you or any other readers are aware of?
Yes make a post about them and exclude it from the slider and the pages bar and the homepage treat it like an about me or you could go into your cpanel make two more installations of wordpress on these domains:

I’m sorry, I reread my message and I guess it wasn’t particularly clear.
This website will have hundreds and thousands of users, so requiring the site administrator to create a post for each author after creating their user isn’t an option. But thank you for suggestings that.
Regarding the second solution, I don’t see how installing WordPress multiple times will help, can you elaborate?
I’m really talking about a WordPress function that can bypass the author pages looking for a post before it displays the author’s information.
