author option not showing up on posts

    I just installed your author plugin on both the staging and live sites. The plugin installed fine and I added authors -but now the author option does not appear on our posts as it should on the live site but it DOES appear on the staging site and in theory they are identical.
    We expected to see the option for authors but it doesn’t appear on the sidebar as shown in the image or under the content as it does on the staging site

    I spoke to server support and they don’t know what is blocking the plugin from working properly. We would greatly appreciate your advice.
    While our site is using a proxy for the domain name – we disabled the proxy temporarily to check if that was the issue but that wasn’t it.

    thank you – I resolved the issue. It seems that even though the default is that authors will appear on pages and posts and they don’t need to be chosen, on our site they indeed need to be chosen.
