    New admin dashboard that's supposed to be mobile friendly makes normal site maintenance difficult and will not allow to have mobile version overriden with desktop view when requested to.

    As a webmaster with a high traffic site that sees a lot of user activity, the ability to effectively moderate comments is essential. But right now I can't see who the comment is from as this essential information is not displayed in mobile version of dashboard. Could it be put back asap? Less essential info, such who the comment was made in reply to IS displayed, but who made the comment isn't.

    Hi there,

    you can add back that column by using this css:

    @media screen and (max-width: 782px) {
    .fixed .column-author {
    display: table-cell !important;
    word-break:break-all;
    }

    .fixed .column-author .avatar {
    float: none;
    display: block;
    }
    }

    Try installing some plugin which enables you modification of admin css, like this one: http://wordpress.org/plugins/add-admin-css/ and add the code above to it.

    I just wanted to thank the developers for fixing the awful admin interface of 3.8 in the new release. Comment management was just plain hell on mobile devices. I'm grateful you have considered my concern, although censorship of my follow up comments on your part remains a sad display of online Nazism.
