    Hello jise,

Thanks for your topic. Currently there is no possibility to use variables in text watermark. It is also not so easy to tell you where to code it.
However, I am going to release the new version this week (still don’t have a time to finish this, but hope it will hapen in the coming days), so I will add the possibility to use some variables for you 🙂 Please, be patient.

Thank you for appreciating my work.

    Thanks a lot! It’s a great news.

I’ll be waiting with pleasure. This plugin is great, Far superior to all on the web.

With these new options will be even better.

Nice job! Thanks so much. 😀

    Regards 🙂

In the new version (0.5) you can find the text placeholders such as author name, email, site name, admin email etc. Hope it meets your expectations, if not feel free to write any other ideas!

    THANKS!!! Very much!

It’s just what I expected and it works fine.

Really thank you very much for your work.

Now I have to work with BuddyPress Media.

Thank you very much! Incredible work. The best plugin forever.

I wonder if it would be possible to use the image title or the image alt text from the media libary for the picture to watermark?

This could be helpful to add a copyright or cc by license info directly into the picture.

Is it possible to avoid watermarking for thumbs?

    Hello WordiSchnoerdi,

Thanks for your idea, I’ll consider adding an option to use image title and alt in the next release.

About the thumbs: yes, it’s possible. On the EW general settings page you can select what image sizes to watermark. Just uncheck the ‘Thumb’ on that list.

thanks for placeholders, but i’m most interestet to use author (well this can be change in mediasettings to different user) instead of %user_name%.

May in next update you add %author_name% and (if you like as well %author% %author_email%).

    Thx & Regards,
