  • Hello @grupete!

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

If you are referring to the blog page, the meta info can be displayed for every post on that page by going to Customizer -> Layout -> Blog/Archive, expanding Post Meta and clicking on the eye icon near every meta field you want to display so it will become blue. This means that information will appear on the blog page, under the post title. You can find an example here.

in this case I mean the articles published in PAGE not in POST. When I publish on the page, no data comes out of the goal such as the author’s name, publication date, and number of comments. example https://imgur.com/a/VmHzFVq

    Hello @grupete ,

Thank you for using Neve and for reaching out!

By default, you can display metadata information on the Posts Page (where all posts are displayed with a short description) or in the Post Page itself.

Since it seems that you are not referring to the Posts Page then I am assuming you want metadata displayed on the Single Post page. For this design you need to go to Customizer > Layout > Single Post > And activate all post metadata you are interested in. (screenshot)

Is this your desired effect? Unfortunately, the picture you attached is of a Cookie policy text in Spanish thus I couldn’t see exactly what you were referring to.

Thank you and have an amazing day!

hello @mateithemeisle , as you mentioned I have activated the meta post in the individual input options but in the PAGE publications the meta is not published. I have several sites with this same theme and the same thing happens in all of them.

Will you please be able to populate your site if the metadata is shown in the page posts.

    Hi @grupete!

Please provide us the URL to your site so we can check the issue.

    Thank you!

Hi @luciamarinescu , here is an example of my site using this theme. I can’t see the meta data in the posts in PAGE. https://ecomo.com.ar/ejesa/deuda/

    Hello @grupete ,

Thank you for providing the link!

From what I can see, the link provided by you is redirecting to a Page, not a Post. If you use the inspect tool (Chrome) on the page you will see it has a different format from a post. If you compare this POST https://ecomo.com.ar/como-saber-si-me-cargaron-la-garrafa-social/ with this PAGE https://ecomo.com.ar/ejesa/deuda/ you will see that they are different elements. On the first link, you are able to see the author, date, and comments as the metadata are available for posts. However, Pages do not have this metadata to be shown.

To make the metadata appear for the last link too please transform the page into a post and you should be able to obtain the desired result.

Thank you and please let us know if you have any further questions!

@mateithemeisle @luciamarinescu My initial question and problem is that I want to know why the metadata does not appear in the articles in PAGE. I want to know if it is a bug and if they are going to solve it.

If we compare the theme neve with astra or similar in the publications in PAGE, IF all the metadata is published.

    This bug is a shame.

    Hello @grupete!

This is not a bug, it’s the desired behavior of the theme and the way Neve works. The meta data appears only on single posts or on the blog page. As Mat mentioned above, there are pages like this one on your site that look like posts and I assume they were intended to be posts, but they are not, so the meta data won’t be displayed. For example, this is a single post and this can also be checked in the code, where classes that are specific for posts, like the ones highlighted in the screenshot, can be seen. In these cases, the meta data is displayed because that page has a single post template, which means that is a post. However, on your site there are also pages like this one that are not posts, they are just simple pages. Similarly, this can also be checked in the code, where no classes that are specific to single posts can be seen. As you can see in the last screenshot, that is a simple page, with a default page template, so the meta data won’t be displayed because as I said above, it is displayed only on single posts or on the blog page. As my colleague suggested above, to make the meta data appear on those pages too, they should be transformed into posts so those pages will have the single post template where the meta data can be displayed. I hope this behavior is more clear now.

    Have a nice day!
