Author has no editing permissions

    Staff are allowed to add events to the agency’s staff events calendar (calendar by WordPress Plugin Modern Tribe). I would be referring to the Edit/View, etc links under the list view of posts. Recently, they can no longer edit. As an admin, I can edit the events, so I don’t think it has to do with anything with the Modern Tribe plugin.

    Staff recently alerted me to issues with logging on when they would get the message “Cheatin’ uh? Sorry, you are not allowed to access this site.” I tracked that issue down to the MENU OPTIONS section of Adminimize (it looks like you must have had an update added boxes to select entire sections vs each individual box and everything defaulted to all checked. I guess something in that section completely blocked out the Author, anyway that part is fixed).

    I checked to make sure there were no restrictions in posts or the EVENTS plugin section, I cannot pinpoint this problem and would appreciate guidance. Thank you!

    This has also now been fixed! I was toggling between two different accounts. Only one of the Author accounts had posted to the event calendar, the other Author profile had no events since it was only a test profile.

    Wordpress only allows each Author profile to edit their own posts, thus the reason I could not see the edit function through Author #2.
