# Author Field missing

 * I previously had the author field in the Posts page. But now its gone. I have
   tried many tricks to get it to screen options. Like disabling many plugins. But
   nothing seemed to get it back. Also tried to add few screen options plugins which
   were of no use.
 * Any idea how to get it to display in screen options?

 * do you mean in wp-admin->write post/page? the author meta box.
    doesn’t seem 
   like theme can affected the ‘screen option’ area.
 * when click the ‘screen option’ in top right, there should be author (checked 
   or unchecked).
 * maybe try create a new dummy user to flush the admin transient and see if it 
   appeared again.
