Seems like this is still happening that post author can edit all the comments from other users as well.
@ronald did you fix this issue yet? anything I have to set up in the setting to prevent this?

A user with the Author role can edit visitor comments on other authors’ posts, which is normally something only Editors or Admins should be able to do.
How to make AEC only display its interface and allow comment editing by an Author only on their own posts?
This is very important, as it practically gives any ordinary Author editorial privileges on comments!
