You have this:
.entry-meta {
display: none;
}
The author box is inside a div with entry-meta
css class.
So change that with:
header .entry-meta {
display: none;
}
If you want just hide the metas under the title.
Hope this helps.
So just 2 questions:
What the metas?
Where would I make this change?
Thanks
You have something like that in your Custom CSS Box:
<*Change colour of boxes around pics*>
.round-div { border-color: #f78c40 }
.entry-meta {
display: none;
}
right?
First replace that <*
and *>
with /*
and *\
Then replace
.entry-meta {
display: none;
}
with:
header .entry-meta {
display: none;
}
Thanks for finding that mate. If it’s there I don’t know where it’s come from.
I’ll see if I can find the code 🙂
G’day again d4z_c0nf
Thanks for ya help so far but I have nothing in my custom CSS box and I’ve looked through the code for the themes but haven’t managed to find the entry.
I can find it when I load the page and look through the source code, but I can’t tell where it’s inserted.
Any ideas where to look?
Cheers
?
There’s this whole CSS:
.format-icon:before {
speak: none;
text-transform: none;
-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;
padding-right: 10px;
opacity: 0.2;
position: relative;
top: 8px;
display: none;
font: normal normal 1.2em/1 'entypo';
}
<*Change colour of boxes around pics*>
.round-div { border-color: #f78c40 }
.entry-meta {
display: none;
}
which is custom and you should have put it in Appearance -> Customize -> Advanced Settings -> Custom CSS
Anyway, bah..
add this at the very bottom of the Custom CSS box:
.entry-meta {
display: block;
}
header .entry-meta { display: none;}
Thanks mate found it!!
I forgot that there was a custom CSS thing in the customize section.
Ah,
glad you solved.
Would you mind marking this topic as resolved? 😀
