Support » Fixing WordPress » Author Box Without Registered Users

  • Hi!

I am trying, desperately, to figure out a way to have an author box at the bottom of posts on my blog. I don’t want users to register on the site as they are sending me the content via email and I am posting it. And no, I don’t want to change this process.

There has got to be some other way to do this? I thought about creating profiles for every writer anyways just so I could click and add them via an author box plugin but my writers are so fluid that it would be a huge pain to add and delete users all the time.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    very awesome

There’s a way, but it invloves osme programming work by you.

You would need to use a meta_box in the admin area and you can enter the authors name in there, then save it as a meta value for that post in the database. It’s a bit of a hard way around it, especially if you aren’t a programmer at all, but that’s probably close to the easiest way to do it.
