Author base is not working

    Hello,

    First of all, thank you for developping this plug-in.

    So, here’s my problem:
    I define an “Author Base” in Edit Author Slug Settings but it doesnt seem to work, after saving to ‘somethingnew’ my authors permalinks always default to ‘author’.

    I tried resetting permalink structure and nothing.

    I went throught my functions.php file to check if something might be causing this but I don’t think so.

    Any light on what could be the cause of this problem?

    Are you by chance using Co-Authors Plus?

    Yes! As a matter of fact I am.
    Although right now I’m unable to access it. I’ll do it as soon as possible and let you know on an update.

    Co-Authors Plus blocks the ability to change the author base because of the way the code is written. I’ve notified them on GitHub, where development happens, and submitted a fix, but so far nothing has happened. For now, you kind of have to pick the one that is most important, having co-authors, or a custom author base.
