Author as source

Another application we try to figure out is to use the author as source (so not for order), meaning that we want to call a list with all posts of a certain author. I know that WP can do this by itself through the author archive page, but we want to create our own author pages with three lists seperated by categories, so we would need to call it in the shortcode.

Is there a possibility?
