 * Hi guys, after activating and using the plugin I have been getting this popup
   box that says “Authentication Required” from the server. The WP login/pass do
   not work here. Is this related to the rss plugin? Have cases like this ever been
   reported before? Thanks for any help given.

   this is NOT related to the plugin and I unfortunately have no clue at this point
   why you get that message, you should drop your hosting company a short message
   to ask them to check this.
