• I’m trying to authenticate my wordpress site for Facebook Insights for your Domain

I have a few plugins that insert the authentication metatag on my site (Yoast SEO), and I’ve even added the metatag manually. But Facebook always gives me an error.

My guess at this point is that WordPress is stripping out the closing slash in the metatag preventing facebook from matching the metatage.

    Facebook says I need this:
    `<meta property=”fb:admins” content=”1234″ />

    But WordPress publishes this:
    ‘<meta property=”fb:admins” content=”1234″>

I’m wondering if this is causing the problem. Any workarounds for this issue?

Turns out the missing closing slash was from Chrome, not WordPress. I checked it in IE and it displays as expected.

I still have no clue why I can’t claim my domain. And Facebook support has been no help.
