I’m fan of threaded comments, but when the max depth is shallow (just 1 or perhaps 2 children) there’s a user interface issue that crops up from removing the reply call to action from children who are at the max depth.
Having to scroll up the conversation thread to reply to the parent comment to add a reply can be confusing.
I’m searching for a way to retain the reply link for all comments, regardless of depth, but if the comment is at the max depth their reply link would associate it with appropriate parent ID.
