# Audio Player looking in wrong folder?

 * I am using the standard Audio Player, but it can’t seem to see the files in the
Media Library. I have copied some audio files into the Media Library. They are
visible if I open the Media Library, and I have confirmed in cPanel they are
in the correct folder. But when I use the Audio Player and click on “Add/Edit
Audio Files”, then “Add to Audio Playlist”, it can’t find the files. Any ideas?

 * If you just copied the files into the folder, they are not “in the library”.
Use the plugin “Add From Server” to add manually uploaded files to the database.

 * Ah, so I was hoping to automate the copying up of multiple files using FTP into
the appropriate wp-content/upload folders. Is there any way for the database
to automatically refresh itself with everything in the folder?

 * That plug in has a lot of notes indicating it is no longer supported and not
tested with recent wordpress versions. Doesn’t inspire confidence that it is
something to rely on in a production website.

 * OK, tried the plugin anyway. Tried to import 3 files. It says they already exist
in the Media Player library. However they still aren’t visible from the Add to
   Audio List screen.

 * I’ve used that plugin in the last week to add a giant mp3 file (don’t ask, I
lost the argument with the client) to the media library.
 * Do you see the files when you visit the media library directly?

 * Yes they are in the media library. It’s only from the Audio Player, “Add to Audio
list” that I can’t see them. That seems to looking in a different location, as
it also shows some files that I can’t see in media library

 * When you say “I am using the standard Audio Player”, what do you mean?

 * I mean that when building the page I selected the Audio Player” from the Media
Elements tab in the Advanced Layout Editor. I assume this is a WordPress standard
item, or is it part of the Enfold theme we use?

 * It’s not wordpress core, so I’d assume it’s your theme or a plugin.

 * Ah, OK. I’ll have to see where it came from then. It’s not in our list of installed
plugins so I guess that means it’s part of the theme.
