• Hi All,

I am designing a simple website for someone with digital download facility for his mp3 sales. I have used eshop for the store and Audio Player as the plugin to allow customers to hear a snippet of the tune . My problem is that, as you can see from this page http://www.itimesrecords.co.uk/shop/?page_id=104 I need to get the Audio Player inside the eshop panel where the “add to cart” etc is .. Would be most grateful if anyone has any advice on this or knows if its even possible. Alternatively is there another plugin that will allow me to intergrate the player into the eshop “add to cart” panel. Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance.

  • You cannot “insert” another plugin into the eShop Add To Cart form. Why not just add it to the product’s Page content?

I think i will put one in the products pages but the client wants the play buttons in the main list as well. Think ill maybe work on getting the gap a bit smaller and make a compromise with the client. Thanks for your quick reply esmi.

You can display this audio directly into estore by inserting the swwwhortcode into the product description in its database.

I’ve done this on http://www.scrambledegos.com under the media music.

We’d like to use it everywhere but unfortunately it requires flash, hence me checking here to see whether html5 support is coming soon 🙂

Hi Pat thats exactly what im looking for.. Can you expand a bit on that please.

Not sure exactly what you mean by “inserting the shortcode into the product description in its database.”

Where do i find this in eshop ?

Thankyou in advance.. this is going to be a massive headache solved 🙂

    Much appreciated.

Ah, just realised I can’t attach an image. Never mind.

Go to your eStore control panel in WordPress and select Manage Products. Find the product you want to add the audio to and edit it.

Under the section Additional Product Details (Click to Expand) you find the description field.

Just copy your short code in there:

    [wp_eStore_audio_player src ="http://www.xxxxxxxxxxx/audiofile.mp3"]

Then when you view the product using the appropriate shortcode you’ll see your audio object. I used:

    [wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=33 style=7 order=3 type=3]

I didn’t realise it worked like this at first and only found out be chance looking through their support forum. They are very helpful, so it’s definitely worth signing up if you haven’t already 🙂

    HTH.
