Audio link player plugin now inoperative on phones

I recently updated to the current version of WP. After doing so, I then updated some plugins that needed updating. While the Audio Link Player wasn’t one of them, it now fails to display on certain smartphones (e.g. the HTC One, which I own). Not all phones are affected as I have learned, and the plugin works fine on laptops and desktops. I have tried contacting the developer of the plugin, but he only provides support for a fee, and I can’t even get an answer as to the amount of the fee. It sounds like he needs to update the plugin to accommodate all phones, anyway. How can I fox this?
