Auctions vs auction items

    We wish to run more than one auction (i.e. auction process) at the same time (or overlapping), each branded with a different organisation (e.g. ‘Cricket Club 2015 Fundraising Auction’; ‘Rowing Club Charity Auction’; etc). To the user, the auction processes must appear completely independent.

    In the UK (at least) an auction is typically the process of selling many auction items (auction ‘lots’) However, the Ultimate Auction nomenclature refers to individual items as auctions (or perhaps I misunderstand!)

    Q1: Can multiple auction processes (in my terminology) be set up
    Q2: Can I use WP multi-site network activate to run multiple auction processes
