   it to get stats for variations.

 * Hey there!
 * Can you tell me a bit more about what you mean by “get stats of sold items”?
 * Are you just looking to run sales reports based on the attributes? If so, using
   those to create variations of products will be the best case to handle this,
   as variable products are going to be included in WooCommerce sales reports, etc.
 * Here’s more reading on using variatons: [https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/)

 * Hi there,
 * It’s true — (20x100x100) would be a huge number of variations, and would be a
   bit awkward/tricky to manage. However, if you want to track inventory, it is
   somewhat of a necessity to create them as separate variations.
 * Usually, for products with a large number of options, something like our [Product Add-Ons](https://woocommerce.com/products/product-add-ons/)
   extension is a good solution — however it doesn’t work for tracking separate
   inventory for each option.
 * You could do something like create each of the three choices (color, left, right)
   as a variable product, and then bundle them together in a single product using
   our [Product Bundles](https://woocommerce.com/products/product-bundles/) extension.
   So you could have a “right eye” product with 100 variations, and a “left eye”
   product with 100 variations, and (I guess) a “Color” product, then bundle them
   together so that the customer can choose each one. That would let you track stats/
   inventory for each product separately.
 * However, if you specifically need stats on things like “green – left”, “blue –
   right”, then you would need to create those as variations. So you could have “
   Left eye” with 100 options for “power” and 20 for “color” == 2000 variations.
   Then the same for the right eye, and then you could bundle those two products
   together.

 * Hello [@kellymetal](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kellymetal/)
 * Well the idea is to track the most choosen color and power (left or right) is
   same. Even if Color and Power is tracked separately its fine. What you think
   i should do ?
 * Thank you.

 * Hi there,
 * If you want to track both the power and the color (though not necessarily linked—
   just most popular color, most popular strength), then those would all need to
   be actual variations (i.e. not created as add-ons).
 * In that case, perhaps the easiest solution would be to create the “Color” product(
   with 20 variations), then separate “left” and “right” eye products (with 100
   variations each). Then you could bundle them together with the [Product Bundles](https://woocommerce.com/products/product-bundles/)
   extension.
 * From there, the customer would be able to choose a “color”, and choices for left
   and right eye prescription strength. You would be able to track sales for each
   of those variations and see which ones are most popular (left and right would
   be separate, but you could still easily compare the two to see which one is higher,
   and this would avoid having 100×100 variations on a single product).
