Support » Everything else WordPress » attempt to open core files when navigating in admin interface

  • Hi there,
I’ve experienced this issue on various projects, i’d like a little understanding as to why.

    1. Today, while trying to view my site (in development) it would not load properly, sometimes loading a blank white page, and other times, displaying itself properly.. ? – How can i track this? Logs, etc.

    2. At times, when using the admin interface, based on my user action (clicking to ‘posts’, ‘pages’, etc.) forces the browser (firefox) to try and open the core php file.. ? For example, clicking through to ‘post’ would prompt me to save / download 'edit.php'

    Anyone else experience these issues?
    Any advice, suggestions appreciated.

  • ok – in safari, the page(s) will no longer load?

'Safari can’t open the page “” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.'
