• Hi, everyone.

I recently upgraded our site but editors got many problems with copying and pasting from Word so i temporarily rolled back to WP 2.7.1 until the solution is found. I was searching this forum and the remote publishing appears as the best choice.

However, after activating “Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols” box our site was instantly defaced: the right sidebar became almost empty and amount of showing pages was cut in two. I picked a backup and run it, everything becomes normal ( i didn’t touch activating “Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols” box anymore ) but very soon the site got defaced as it was earlier.

I did run a backup again but very soon it comes for the third time.

I wiped everything ( WP 2.7.1 and database ) and installed the latest WP release and run database’s backup.

Some time passes already, it seems good so far.

I am writing this just to let you know.

    Thanks
