# Attachment-like Custom Post Type

 * hello,
 * i’m currently looking for a way to let users upload several files, but am reluctant
   in using the traditional media upload way. that being because i don’t want to
   mix the blog files with my users’ files and i also don’t want for them to be 
   able to view or alter other users files.
 * as such i came to the conclusion that a custom post type would alow me to manage
   that. however, there’s currently no way to make use of the inbuilt wordpress 
   media upload (or so i think) when creating custom post types. How can i achieve
   something similar? i’m all open to suggestions or even other ways to go.
