    Hi everyone,

I have a question about the “redirect attachement to post” settings + “Yoast SEO: Search Index Purge”.
I have followed the guides and changed the settings after the Yoast update back to “Yes” (redirect to post). I also enabled the plugin “Index Purge” but the attachement URLS are still live. How do I debug this? Thank you in advance!

Could you please show us some example media (attachment) URLs where the issue remains occurring for you so that we can take a look at them?

    Dear Maze,

Thank you for your response. Example can be found here:

Thanks for the example. We checked on the attachment URL and confirmed that it is not redirecting to the attachment. If you clear your cache (server, plugin, or CDN such as Cloudflare) does this resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear your server cache you should speak with your host provider.

Hi thank you for your quick reply. I did clear the cache multiple times (just did it again). I am using SWIFT premium plugin on my website. Turning it off has no effect and the attachment URL is still not redirecting. What do you suggest?

@dutchinternetmarketing The issue you are experiencing with the attachment URLs not redirecting as expected may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.
If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.
If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.
