Support » Plugin: COP PDF Attachment Menu » Attach a file to multiple pages

  • I have catalog pdf’s that need to be attached to more than one page. I used another plugin (File Un-Attach) to allow attaching the file to multiple pages in the media manager but your plugin will only show the file as attached to the first and no others.

    Could you fix this?

    I don’t want to have to upload multiple copies of the same PDF since that will complicate things when the file needs to be updated.

    Thanks.

    I don’t think I can fix the fundamental flaw with WordPress where there are no many to one relationships with media.

    Get a list of pdfs from a different parent.
    * [pdfmenu post_parent=”1″]

    So that is from one of my files. You should be able to use that shortcode to force a page to use the pdf files from another page. You just have to have a page where you upload them and reference that from other pages.

    I know this was an old question. WordPress.org still doesn’t have a feature to email these so I have to check them manually and I currently make 0 money off this plugin directly or indirectly. I hope it is working for you and if I resume development I’ll think about how this feature might be non obvious.
