I have another newbie question. Sorry to be a bother, but there’s so much here it’s sometimes hard to find the answers I’m looking for.

For Att. Categories, is there a way to set it so new images that get uploaded are automatically assigned to and Att. Category?

Also, do you have some usage examples/ideas for a combination of Att. Categories and Tags?

    Thanks so much!

Thanks for the new question; it’s no bother. MLA has a lot of features and finding specific answers can be a treasure hunt.

You can use the “IPTC/EXIF” tab in the Settings/Media Library Assistant area to assign categories and tags to items as they are uploaded, taking a literal value or extracting value(s) from the metadata often embedded in image files. More information can be found in the “IPTC & EXIF Processing Options” section of the Settings/Media Library Assistant Documentation tab.

Some general remarks about how to use taxonomies can be found in these earlier topics:

What are “att tags” and “att categories”?

Question for Media Library Assistant users.

I hope that helps you think through using taxonomies in your application. I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if there’s anything else I can do to help.
