I have 2 WP 1.5.1 sites and on both, the Atom link generates a download rather than showing the file. I’ve read in here that this behaviour is to be expected. But I’m curious: why does my Blogger Atom feed display in the browser?
I read a previosus thread about Atom that the curly quote is not UTF-8 valid and that this could cause problems, perhaps having to do with the MIME type (application/atom+xml).
Also, when I drop the URI of the Atom feed into Thunderbird, Tbird says that it is downloading 5 posts, but then only one is displayed.
Finally, should the Atom feed display in the reader as a webpage? My Blogger Atom feed uses more presentation code than the RSS feeds I subscribe to, but only the content (text and images) is in the posts, not the whole page layout. (I hope that makes sense.)
Is Atom working like it should?
