ATC Pixel issue with Facebook for Woocommerce plugin
-
Hi There,
I am using woostify with Woocommerce for Facebook. [https://hellawear.com/wp-admin/plugin-install.php]The issue is with the ATC pixel which does not fire. I got in touch with Plugin Support (Skyverge) and this is what they had to say:
“Thanks so much for your patience while our devs looked into this further! Unfortunately, after a closer look, it doesn’t look like we’ll be able to provide a workaround solution for you with this particular theme. When AJAX is used to add an item to cart, we need to adjust the fragments that are then used to print the tracking script.
In the case of the Woostify theme, our developers found that it did not called the required WC_AJAX::get_refreshed_fragments() function, and as the handling of the response to the AJAX foes not replace the fragments, the tracking snippet will always be missing.
If there’s a shining light in all of this, it’s that our developers are working on a new version of the Facebook plugin that uses Facebook’s newer API with Server to Server tracking. This opens up a lot of new ways for us to track events, without having to rely on front end scripts which can be error prone as you’ve seen! The hope is that the new version may very well work out of the box for you once it’s released.
If you’d like to reach out to Woostify developers in the meantime, they may be able to offer some additional suggestions for you.”
Here is the support thread.
Wondering if we can arrive at some “workaround” to get ATC pixel working.
Many Thanks
