  • I’d like to include a thumbnail image in my category, search and archive listings in Atahualpa. Does anyone have any idea how to accomplish this?

The idea is that if there is an image inserted in the main post, the search results should generate a thumbnail image of the image from the post and float it to the left of the text….

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

  • In the end I found a plugin which provided a nice solution for this – Thumbnail for Excerpts. In addition, this plug in is allowing me to deliver thumbnails in my RSS feeds as well. Wanted to just post this solution here in case anyone else is looking.

great I was looking for this also, thanks a lot wendy

Huum, I am a lil noob on all that, what do I need to do to make excerpt works? I am putting some text in the bow but full post still show, is there anything I need to change in settings?

That’s just what I needed too. I had successfully added an image to a single category by simply inserting a line of HTML using <img>. With the latest WP udpate the image no longer displays. When I installed this plugin, and added the image in the category, the image still does not appear. Anyone know what WordPress did to disable this, and how to get around it?

and my website/category page in question:
A small thumbnail should be appearing at the right of the headline text “Executive Director’s Blog”
