On January 2023, I paid $44.25 for Astro Pro, and then upgraded to the Lifetime Astro Pro for another $180. My current version is 4.1.1 and is active on 3 of my websites.

Now Version 4.1.4 is available, but I must pay $47 to purchase a new license. That upgrade statement appears on all of my websites, so I’m not sure if I have to pay $47 for each, or just once to update the Lifetime Astro Pro license. Lifetime does not appear to be lifetime. What a rip off.

This hardly seems right since I just bought the Lifetime License, but if it is correct, Astro Pro is a rip-off, and very deceptive with their sales statements.

Do I need to upgrade to 4.1.4, or can I just keep 4.1.1 forever?

    Thanks in advance,

    Thanks Jan,

Astra did reply. I guess I have to manually update it by FTP, which I’ve never done before.

    Here’s what they said:

Regarding the issue you encountered with Astra license activation/update, we discovered that some customers who had WooCommerce and add-ons installed for the WooCommerce marketplace experienced a conflict that prevented the system from recognizing the source of purchase.

We have resolved the issue and released an update (version 4.1.3) to fix it. If the issue persists, please manually update to the latest version to avoid any future problems. This doc can help you update plugin manually – https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-manually-update-wordpress-plugins-via-ftp/

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience while we addressed this issue.
