associate Core WP Post Type with WC Product Category

Hi,

I know how to create a custom post type and associate it with taxonomies, but I cannot find a way to do something supposed to be simple like associating Product Categories created with WooCommerce with WordPress Core Posts.
I tried with
Add new – Extend Existing
and choosing either Posts and Product Category but cannot find the Advanced Options tab and select “built-in taxonomies”
