I am totally new developing websites with WordPress. I have some experience developing a website the traditional HTML way. With that said, the webmaster of our organization left and he just provided me a username and password. This is ALL the information he left, so I am trying to put the pieces together. I discovered that the login information is the WordPress login information. I had the opportunity to glance at the control panel on one occasion, so I know it was working before. Our former webmaster transfered the domain name (only the domain name) to our organization and after the transfer, our website and WordPress login pages stopped working entirely. If I try to open my WordPress login page, it gives me a “The server is down or refusing connections” error.
I would appreciate if someone could give me a clue where to begin at least recovering all the content of our website.
