Hi Julian,
Thanks for getting in touch. Regarding your queries:
- Yes you can do this in the ‘Field Mapping’ section of an imports settings. You would create a new rule that says:
if area-location is equal to * then set Houzez field area to {area-location}
This is an example only. You’d need to check the name in the data is ‘area-location’ for the above to work. but what I’m saying is, yes this is possible. If you don’t know what the name is please send the URL to the existing Houzez site and I can find this for you.
- Yes
- Shouldn’t be. It’ll take a while to import 10,000 properties and all their images etc but everything should port across. If you need any custom fields bringing across you can do that in the field mapping section outlined above. Other than that, we should import all published properties. If you need drafted properties to be migrated as well we have a filter you can use to do so and I’ll be happy to provide more info on that if required.
Hope that helps but do let me know if any further questions, or issues when it comes to importing. Our free version allows you to import 25 properties so you could trial it with that before committing.

Hey Steve,
thanks alot for your time! Whats the best option to migrate properties between Houzez ? I have read on some other posts that BLM is the best solution but on plugin configuration, on Import properties is an option “Another Houzez site”, meanwhile on the Export Properties there is no option for Houzez site
Definitely im trying to get around with the free version, in order to proceed to premium 😉
Best Regards,
Julian

Hi Julian,
If you did BLM you’d need our plugin installed on both sites. The main site to do the BLM export, and then the new site, to do the import. The issue is as well the BLM wouldn’t have all the data in. Area for example, wouldn’t be included.
You’d be best off, on the new site, setting up a new import and select the format as ‘Another Houzez Site’, enter the URL of the live site, and go from there. That way nothing needs to be installed on the existing site.
Shout if I can assist further,
Steve
Hi Steve,
thanks alot! I was trying to do some testings, but when i try to migrate the properties, the Contact Information is set to Houzez Agent, but still the data is not migrated. The same Houzez Agents (same users) are on both websites. Even when I try to add a rule, in the If X(dropdown) field in Another Houzez site feed Is equal to ______ | The dropdown doesnt show any data but Then set Houzez agent to displays the users of the child site (the site in which i will import the properties)
I have tried to add the equal to * wildcard, but i think i need to make a rule for every agent.. Tried to use the Field mapping option too Ifhouzez_agentIs equal to*then setAgent NametoAutomatically match based on name but still no results. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time!

Hi Julian,
It’s because in the REST API we don’t get the agents name, we only get the ID of the agent on the original site. So you would need to add a rule for each agent:
If fave_property_agency is equal to 111 then set Houzez field Agent to Julian
… where 111 is the ID from the original site for an agent called Julian on the new site.
At least with the REST API we can get the agent. If you were to use the originally discussed BLM that doesn’t even include negotiator/agent.
Hope that helps but let me know if I can assist further.
