Assigning categories to user roles

    I know this question has been answered few times, but I was wondering if there has been any new developments on assigning categories to user roles?

    I am currently using the Members Plugin to restrict posts to users based on their roles. The only thing I need though is to restrict the category page (where it shows all the posts for the category) as well.

    There are few plugins that I saw, but they are for older WordPress versions. There’s got to be a solution to this.
