• I am new to WordPress so this may be a simple thing to do but I can’t figure it out. I would like to assign different categories to the static pages that I am creating but all the pages that I make always fall under the “uncategorizedâ€? label. I can’t switch it?

  • Normally the Pages do not have category, since they are not part of the stream of posts.

I wonder if you’re wondering how to do the same thing I was thinking.

I want to be able to make a category, let’s say it’s Links and then I want to make it so that posts in the Links category only show up on the Links page but not on the index page.

Or just make a page called Links and then be able to post to it individually multiple posts but not have them show up on other pages or the index page.

I already posted a very similar question, and got a couple of good answers: http://wordpress.org/support/topic.php?id=28108

    scrump,
your question is absolutely NOT related to the original post!
Search first and if you don’t find the answer, start a new thread.
